Abhi is an Executive in Residence at Engine Ventures, where he evaluates investments and works with founders of early-stage technology companies. He has more than 25 years of experience in innovative solutions spanning neuroscience and engineering. He is a passionate leader who has built diverse, high-performing teams and delivered multiple successful product launches across consumer and Class III medical domains, in a range of company settings.

Previously, Abhi served as Chief Operating Officer of Cellino from 2022 to 2026, where he oversaw development of an autonomous, laser-guided platform that produces patient-derived stem cells for personalized regenerative therapy at scale. Before Cellino, he spent five years at Medtronic, most recently as Vice President of Research, Development and Technology for Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health Therapies and Head of the Neurosciences Technology Development Center, where he led development of several first-in-class products and therapy solutions.

Abhi holds an MS and PhD in Biomedical Engineering and conducted his graduate research at Boston University’s Hearing Research Center and the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT. He was elected to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows in 2023 and to the Boston University Board of Trustees in 2026, and he previously served on the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Board.
