Richard Collins is the Senior Director of Research & Analytics at Engine Ventures. Richard leads the firm’s research and analytics program, providing insights that guide new investments and support the portfolio. He oversees the Fellowship programs and other initiatives designed to position Engine Ventures at the forefront of scientific breakthroughs, allow the firm to remain embedded across university ecosystems and orient the firm to support the translation of high impact research. Previously, Richard was a Research Director at IDTechEx, a strategy consulting and market intelligence firm focused on emerging technologies.

Richard holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, which was funded by and completed in collaboration with a multinational chemical company, and an MChem from the same institution.
